Saint September is the DJ moniker of Donna Arendse—a South African-born, Berlin-based artist, former singer-songwriter, and founder of the independent label Lekker Collective. With a deep background in performance, artist development, and music curation, Donna draws from her South African roots and the pulse of Berlin’s underground to create rich, immersive sets.

Kicking off her DJ experience with an XJAZZ! Festival x Swim Good event in May 2024, Donna has since embraced DJing as an exploratory practice. Whether spinning reggae at XJAZZ, or delivering warm, groove-rich blends of alt-R&B and soulful club music during mellow Berlin Sundaze events, her approach is defined by constant experimentation. She continues to expand her musical catalogue and the spaces she plays in, guided by a curiosity for genre fluidity and emotional resonance outside of the soul and RnB she loves so well. Her eclectic, story-driven sets reflect both the music of her upbringing and the global influences she has cultivated through years of creative work.

A resident at Berlin’s renowned Refuge Worldwide radio station, Saint September is also known for championing emerging talent and building community through her curatorial work with Lekker Collective.
